Police have confirmed the identity of a pedestrian involved in a fatal traffic incident earlier this week on a Tri-State area highway.
According to Erlanger Police, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Monday along southbound Interstate 71/75. Authorities reported that Javier Lemus of Cincinnati was struck by a semi-truck while on the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following the incident, a section of the interstate was closed for approximately eight hours as investigators worked at the location. The closure allowed traffic reconstruction specialists to document the scene and collect information to assist in understanding how the incident occurred.
