Alaska Anchorage women’s basketball senior Elaina Mack has been recognized with a major statewide accolade, being named the adult division winner of the Trajan Langdon Award by the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame. The award celebrates outstanding sportsmanship, leadership, and inspiration in athletics.
Mack delivered an impressive final season for the Seawolves, playing a key role in the team’s strong 16–11 campaign during the 2025–26 season. Her performance on the court stood out both statistically and in her overall impact on the program’s success.
A consistent offensive force, Mack ranked among the top scorers in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and also placed among the national leaders in NCAA Division II for three-point shooting efficiency, averaging 2.7 made three-pointers per game. Her shooting ability and scoring consistency made her one of the most reliable contributors for Alaska Anchorage throughout the season.
Over her collegiate career, Mack left a lasting mark on the program’s record books. She finished with 1,128 career points, placing her 14th all-time in school history. She also secured the third spot in program history for three-pointers made, totaling 237 during her time with the Seawolves.
Originally from King Cove, Mack is only the second player from her background to compete for the Seawolves, further highlighting her unique path and determination to succeed at the collegiate level. Her journey has been widely recognized as an example of perseverance and dedication.
Her achievement continues a recent trend for Alaska Anchorage, as she becomes the second Seawolf in three years to receive the Trajan Langdon Award, following former men’s basketball standout Tyson Gilbert in 2024.
Mack is scheduled to be formally honored at the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame annual induction banquet on June 3, where she will be celebrated alongside other distinguished athletes and contributors to Alaska sports.
