Ruth A. (McClain) Grosh Bistline, 92, of Newburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on April 14, 2026. Born on January 4, 1934, in Fulton County, she lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and a deep commitment to her community.

Ruth devoted over three decades to education, serving as an elementary school teacher in the Shippensburg Area School District. After earning her master’s degree in elementary education from Shippensburg State Teachers College, she became known for her patience, kindness, and passion for helping young students grow and learn. Many in the community remember her as a caring teacher who made a lasting difference in their lives.

Outside the classroom, Ruth was a faithful member of the Newburg First Church of God, where she remained actively involved over the years. She found joy in simple pleasures such as gardening and playing the piano, often bringing warmth and comfort to those around her through these hobbies.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, David L. Grosh and his wife Brenda, her two granddaughters, and several stepchildren and extended family members. Her family and friends will continue to cherish the memories they shared with her and the values she passed on through her life.

Ruth was preceded in passing by her parents, her two husbands, and her three sisters. Despite these losses, she remained a strong and steady presence to those who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on April 20, 2026, at the Newburg First Church of God, with a viewing scheduled one hour prior. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life.

Ruth’s legacy of kindness, faith, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
