With heavy hearts, family and friends remember Jan Deran Mirijanian, who passed away on April 14, 2026. Born on July 5, 1945, in El Centro, California, Jan lived a life defined by devotion to his loved ones, strong faith, and a spirit of service.

Jan was the beloved son of John Deran Mirijanian and Grace Mirijanian-Surabian, both of whom preceded him in passing. He shared many meaningful years with his first wife, Darlene, and later with his second wife, Eileen. In his later years, he found companionship and support with Marj Smith, who remained by his side with care and dedication.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kimberly Gider, her husband Andy, his granddaughter Gabriella, her husband Dante, and their young son. He is also survived by his sister Patricia, extended family members, and many dear friends who will continue to honor his memory.

Jan proudly served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of sergeant and completing assignments both in the United States and overseas. After his service, he pursued higher education and built a long and respected career with the United States government, where he worked for 35 years and helped mentor others in business and professional development.

A man of deep faith, Jan was devoted to his church and his Armenian heritage. He cherished time spent with family, especially summer gatherings and simple outings that created lasting memories. Known for his storytelling, humor, and love of good food, he brought joy and warmth to those around him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on April 18 at Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. His legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on in all who knew him.
