Authorities are continuing to investigate the death of a 16-year-old student whose body was discovered over the weekend at a home in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office identified the teenager as Jayden Livingston. Deputies responded to a residence off New Walkertown Road, where the teen was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not released details about what led to the incident, and no suspect information has been made public.

School leaders confirmed that Livingston was enrolled at West Stokes High School. According to Brad Rice, the student had joined the school earlier this year.

In a statement, district officials expressed sadness over the situation and emphasized their commitment to supporting students and staff. Administrators said they delayed broad communication to families until they could gather accurate information and coordinate with the student’s family.

On Monday morning, school leaders met with counselors and staff to organize support efforts. Additional counselors and social workers have been made available on campus to help students and staff process the news and access assistance as needed.

The district stated that it remains focused on student well-being and will continue to provide resources during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not shared further details but confirmed that the case remains active and ongoing.

Officials are asking anyone with relevant information to contact the sheriff’s office as the investigation continues.
