A massive search effort is underway for Jeanne Rus Litvin, a beloved former editor who has been missing since April 14. In an incredible show of community support, 30 volunteers from Chaverim of Rockland recently flew from New York to Los Angeles to join Hatzolah of Los Angeles and the LAPD in their search.
The Search for Jeanne
Jeanne was last seen leaving her home near the 5800 block of W. Third St. in Los Angeles at approximately 7:25 a.m. on April 14. Reports indicate she was tracked to a local bus stop near Wilshire Boulevard, but her location since then remains unknown.
Important Details for Identification
Jeanne’s family is deeply concerned for her safety, as she suffers from aphasia (a form of dementia) and requires essential medication.
- Physical Appearance: White female, 5’2” tall, weighing about 140 lbs.
- Features: Brown hair and brown eyes.
- Last Seen Wearing: A red-and-black striped sweater and a black skirt.
- Travel: She left her location on foot and may be using public transit.
