Authorities in Dayton have identified a man who died following a shooting incident that also left another individual hospitalized, officials confirmed.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Willonte R. Yates. The incident was reported around 1:13 p.m. in the 2100 block of Piccadilly Avenue, according to previous statements from local authorities.
Dayton Police officers responded to reports of gunfire and, upon arrival, located two individuals with injuries at the scene. Emergency responders transported both men to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
