Authorities have identified the woman who died following a shooting at a Trussville residence on Saturday evening.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as Whitney Harlow Robeson, 22, who was listed as residing in Henrico, Virginia. Officials reported that emergency services responded around 9:21 p.m. to the 7700 block of Deer Trail after receiving reports of a person with a gunshot injury.
Robeson was transported to UAB-ST. Vincent’s East, where she was pronounced dead at 10:49 p.m.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the incident appears to have been an accidental shooting. Lt. Clint Riner added that the investigation is ongoing to determine whether any charges may be filed.
