Vincent Spinelli, Delaware State Police Identify Man Killed in Single-Car Crash Near Long Neck.

Delaware State Police have identified the driver who died in a single-vehicle crash on February 11 near Long Neck. According to authorities, 60-year-old Vincent Spinelli of Millsboro was driving a southbound Audi A4 on Legion Road at approximately 11:50 p.m. when the crash occurred.

Investigators said the vehicle was approaching a sharp left curve and was unable to navigate the turn. Police reported that the car left the roadway, struck a concrete culvert pipe, and became airborne before crashing into a line of trees.

Spinelli was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation to determine the factors that contributed to the incident. Officials have not released additional details at this time.

Law enforcement is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant information to contact investigators. Police continue to remind drivers to use caution when approaching curves, especially at night, and to always wear seatbelts.
