Authorities in Los Angeles County have identified a man who died following an incident involving heavy equipment at a Public Works facility in Lancaster.
The Los Angeles County Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed the victim as 33-year-old Victor Cepeda. Officials said the incident occurred Wednesday morning at a facility located on East Avenue K-8.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, emergency calls were received around 10:35 a.m. reporting an incident at the work site. First responders, including Los Angeles County Fire Department crews, arrived at the location after reports of a medical emergency.
Officials stated that Cepeda was found inside a warehouse at the facility and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported, and no additional individuals required transport to a hospital.
