A 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal incident that occurred earlier this week at a bus stop shelter in Hybla Valley, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police said officers responded at approximately 7:16 p.m. Monday to the intersection of Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive for a reported investigation. At the scene, officers located 41-year-old Stephanie Minter of Fredericksburg inside the bus shelter. She was pronounced dead at the location.

Authorities stated that detectives reviewed surveillance footage and conducted interviews as part of the investigation. Through those efforts, Abdul Jalloh, 32, who police said has no fixed address, was identified as the last person seen with Minter. Investigators reported that both individuals were observed exiting a bus together near Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive.

On Feb. 24, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway in Woodlawn. According to police, an employee at a business recognized Jalloh as a person of interest in the case and contacted authorities. Officers responded and took appropriate action as the investigation continued.

The following day, detectives determined that Jalloh was responsible for Minter’s passing and obtained a warrant charging him with second-degree murder, police said. He is currently being held without bond.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details and ask anyone with information related to the case to contact the Fairfax County Police Department.
