According to the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office, 87-year-old Robert Terry Homesley of Alexis, North Carolina, died following the collision. The crash was reported near mile marker 44.
The coroner stated that the incident occurred around 10 p.m., and Homesley was pronounced deceased at approximately 9:55 p.m. Officials from the coroner’s office responded to the scene alongside the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
