Authorities in Los Angeles County have identified the second person who died following a two-vehicle crash connected to a police pursuit in Pomona earlier this week.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim as 26-year-old Marc Trejo Saldivar. Earlier, officials identified the first victim as 25-year-old Jennifer Loera-Zarco. Both individuals were occupants of a vehicle involved in the collision.
According to the Pomona Police Department, the sequence of events began around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 400 block of East 10th Street. While officers were at the scene, the suspect reportedly returned in a truck, drove recklessly, and struck a parked patrol vehicle before leaving the area.
Police said the suspect’s actions led to a pursuit heading south on Garey Avenue. During the incident, the suspect’s vehicle collided with another car near the intersection of Garey Avenue and County Road. Emergency responders later confirmed that both occupants of the other vehicle died at the scene.
The suspect, identified by police as Marshall Judson of Pomona, was taken into custody near the crash site. Authorities reported that items related to a firearm were recovered from the suspect’s vehicle during the investigation.
Officials said the suspect is facing multiple charges, including vehicular manslaughter, assault on a law enforcement officer, impaired driving, and other related offenses. He is currently being held in custody as the case proceeds through the legal process.
Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the events leading up to the pursuit and the crash. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward. Tips can be shared directly with the Pomona Police Department or submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
