Authorities in Evergreen are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and several others injured.
According to a statement shared by the Conecuh County Coroner’s Office, the incident happened around 12:40 a.m. on March 8, 2026, in the 100 block of West Front Street. Officials reported that multiple individuals were struck by gunfire during the event.
Emergency responders and law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene after the incident was reported. Authorities confirmed that 19-year-old Melvontaie Loveless of Greenville, Alabama, was pronounced dead at the location.
