Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the lives of two men Tuesday night on Interstate 59 in Trussville.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash occurred at approximately 11:28 p.m. on February 25 along I-59 South near Deerfoot Parkway. Officials said the vehicle involved was carrying four occupants at the time of the incident.
Two passengers, identified as 36-year-old Kaleb Michael Bulva of Beckley, West Virginia, and 31-year-old Michael Tyler Smith of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight on February 26. Authorities confirmed that both men were traveling in the vehicle when the crash occurred.
Details regarding the cause of the crash have not yet been released. Law enforcement officials have not indicated whether weather conditions, roadway factors, or other circumstances may have contributed to the incident.
