Authorities report that a woman was killed in an early Friday auto-pedestrian collision in Bonneau, South Carolina.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 34-year-old Jeaniettra Avonne Jones of Moncks Corner. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
According to Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell, his office was notified of the incident at approximately 3:10 a.m. on North Highway 52.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Officials confirmed that the vehicle involved left the scene, but no description of the car has been released at this time.
