Authorities have released the identities of two individuals who died in a head-on collision involving a semi-truck Thursday morning in Wadsworth.

Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek identified the victims as 51-year-old Kelly Wooten and 45-year-old Jacklyn Bradley, both of Stoughton, Wisconsin. An autopsy determined they died from injuries sustained in the vehicle crash.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Newport Township Fire Protection District responded around 7:50 a.m. to the 15000 block of Route 173, between North Kilbourne Road and Route 41, following reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Firefighter/paramedics arrived at the scene and located three vehicles with significant damage. Authorities said the driver and passenger of a 2009 Acura sedan were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate the Acura was traveling eastbound on Route 173 at the time of the collision. Officials have not released additional details regarding the events leading up to the crash.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident. No further information has been provided at this time. Updates will be shared as they become available.
