According to the Decatur Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of West Marietta Street at approximately 10:57 a.m. following reports of gunfire and a person being injured. Officials noted that Thomas possesses a valid Illinois Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card and an active Concealed Carry License (CCL).

This charge relates to discharging a firearm in the direction of another person who was not injured.
