Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Floyd County that resulted in one fatality on Saturday night.
According to Virginia State Police, troopers responded to the scene on Black Ridge Road at approximately 9 p.m. Officials said a 43-year-old man from Hillsville was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox when the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment.
The driver, identified as David Lee Conner, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed. No additional vehicles were reported to be involved in the incident.
State police say the cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
