Authorities in Knoxville have confirmed the identities of two people who died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 40 in West Knoxville early Thursday morning.
The victims have been identified as 31-year-old Austin Eady of Mascot and 40-year-old Krystal Mount of Powell. According to the Knoxville Police Department, the crash occurred near Walker Springs Road just before 1:30 a.m.
Authorities reported that both Eady and Mount were ejected from the motorcycle during the incident and were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Scott Earland of KPD said that fatal accident investigators are handling the case, which remains under active review. At this time, no criminal charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
