State Police reported that the incident took place just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday along State Route 9. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene following reports of a serious single-vehicle crash.
According to a preliminary investigation, the driver, a 26-year-old Hudson resident identified as Mohammad M. Alamin, was traveling southbound when his vehicle veered off the roadway. Officials say the vehicle made contact with a roadside barrier, crossed into the northbound lane, and ultimately collided with a tree.
Authorities confirmed that he was alone in the vehicle at the time. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this stage, investigators have not disclosed what may have caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. Factors such as weather, road conditions, or mechanical issues have not yet been confirmed, as the case remains under active review.
No additional injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing as they work to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the incident. They are encouraging anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have information to assist in the investigation.
