Francisco Martinez Enriquez – Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this week in the Riverdale area, and authorities are asking the public for help as they work to identify those responsible.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, the victim has been identified as 42-year-old Francisco Martinez Enriquez, who authorities said had no fixed address.
Police reported that on March 3, 2026, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers located Enriquez outside in the 6800 block of Patterson Street in the Riverdale area. Emergency responders were called to the scene after the discovery.
Officials later confirmed that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Authorities say detectives from the department’s Homicide Unit are actively working to determine what led to the shooting. Investigators are currently reviewing evidence, speaking with potential witnesses, and attempting to identify any possible suspects connected to the case.
At this stage of the investigation, police have not announced any arrests. Detectives say determining a possible motive and identifying those involved remain key priorities as the investigation continues.
To encourage information from the public, officials say a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for details that lead to an arrest and indictment in the case.
