The victim was identified as Cora Carlisle, 76, whose remains were found inside a home located along Pine Street. Her identification comes several days after officials confirmed the death of Charles Carlisle, 79, who was also discovered inside the same residence. Authorities previously released his name on January 9.
Emergency crews with the Minor Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire late in the evening on January 7. Firefighters were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Pine Street at approximately 10:43 p.m. Upon arrival, crews worked to contain the fire and secure the scene.
After the fire was extinguished, responders located two individuals inside the home. Due to the severity of the incident, positive identification of both victims required additional investigation and confirmation by authorities. Officials stated that next of kin were notified before the names were released publicly.
